POTD: leave only footprints
I keep seeing these little messages all around. I am so thankful for our patience, and desire to downsize, to learn how to become as mobile as we can, and to keep a light step for our remaining time on this planet.
We are so excited to start traveling. It’s happening all around us. We have friends in New Zealand and Vietnam right now! It’s really giving us the travel bug! Soon, I just know we’ll be out and about soon.
We’ll always be around, that’s why we have a website, we welcome you all to follow any and all of our adventures, cause we are going to continue to share this magical journey, and all of those that care to share in it! Naughty or Nice!
There is magic in capturing the pictures and sharing words in a public space such as a blog. Writing things down and visualizing the path really makes it seem possible! We recommend it! There is a learning curve, but I guarantee if you give it a little time, and especially before you start traveling, that it will become more natural than not!

I have a Crush: Ashton the Wayfaring Yogi
It’s been a going on a few years now, when I first saw his picture on myspace, and requested to be his friend. It captured my attention. Something about the toilet and him sitting there with that look, just drew me in! I just had to know him. The energy, the love, there was an instant connection! Ashton was such a bright light, a contagious glow of desire, life, journey, and explorations!
I was delighted when he messaged me on myspace and informed me about humanifesting.com. Inviting me to read about his upcoming adventures! I was tickled with delight! I was forever hooked. I found myself reading about his travels in Thailand, and was so touched by the thoughtful and loving way he journaled about all of his adventures. It really makes a person feel like you are right there. Feeling his hunger, his desire, his curiosities, his will, his ups, his downs, and his pursuit for something more in this universe.
Well one thing led to another, and we kept talking back and forth on wether or not he was going to be at burning man. As it turned out he wasn’t back in the states in time. However, one morning I get a message from him asking me if I had ever heard of Lightning in a Bottle, and if by some chance were we going to be attending! It just happens that about a week prior to his message, we had heard about the festival, and were already making plans on going! I was so excited! I could hardly believe that we were going to be in the same place at the same time!
While shone and I were at the New Belgium boothe grabbing some organic beer and wine, I heard a “georgette?” and I instantly knew it was him! One of the best hugs ever that day! Oh the energy was fantastic! Hearing his voice, sharing a moment, it was awesome!! Him and Shone hit it off just the same! Shone reminded Ashton of a long dear friend that he has! I was so overjoyed! It felt incredible! and this was all it shortly before we bumped into halcyon, but that’s another story
. What a day it was!
Since then it has been a magical time, following his adventures on his website, and his myspace. The invitation continues to stay open for us to join him in Thailand! Oh someday Ashton, you better believe it!
Lately I have been hinting to him about getting on twitter.
If any of you are friends with him on myspace, you’ll know how great he is about updating his status!! I think he would be an incredible person for us all to follow. He’s all over. Thailand, India, Goa, Puru, Matchu Pitchu, and so much more! He is always doing something so amazing. Shamanistic Teachings and lessons, yoga, journeys into the forests, cleansings, healings, and is always spreading love and light into the universe! And he journals about it all. An open heart, an open mind, an open guide!
He’s honest, he’s true, he’s passionate, lover of all, and his voice spreads the path of enlightment. I have a CRUSH on this man! Someday soon, I know that Shone and I will get to travel to Thailand and hang out with him! Or who knows where! All I know is that I am thankful each day for his friendship. Whenever I need to do a little exploring in new worlds, I go take a journey with him! It’s been three years now, since he has taken on this expedition of humanifesting.com. I sure hope it never ends. It just suits him so well.
He has created a profile on planet boho. Although he is always out wandering near and far, I encourage you to add him as a friend. Invite an amazing and wayfaring yogi into your life. I know that you will be thankful you did. Say hello, send a hug or a kiss. Enjoy some time with this fellow explorer.

shone turned me onto the amazing race! and what a brat I can be sometimes :)
a while back shone introduced me to the amazing race. it took a couple of episodes for me to grasp the show, but I have been hooked ever since!
there are many many amazing adventures that come out of these episodes. truly remarkable. the places and things that these people see and do is out of this world!!! the sights, the countries, the people, and of course all of the obstacle courses, pitt stops and flights!!

after I have seen a few seasons, it’s easy for me to understand some of the wisdom that shone always tries to share with me. if you are aware of of this show, then please feel free to add any reactions or thoughts. I appreciate any and all.
essentially, this show is about 11 teams, either couples, siblings, best friends, or of some association, and they are all competing against each other, while traveling around the world, completing tasks, and obstacle courses. The idea is to make it to each pitt stop without being last. The last ones are usually eliminated. However, sometimes they are not. So these people, are often in all kinds of new countries, trying to communicate to the locals, with cameras following them around, all while navigating and trying to complete the task. If the task is not completed to the T, then there are penalties, and time delays. It’s really incredible.
some of the tasks are outrageous! bunjee jumping off bridges, riding camels, searching for hidden treasures, rock climbing, diving, boating, stilt walking, craft making, some disgusting over eating!!, and so much MORE!!!!
talk about being out of your norm. constantly forced to find your way in so many unknowns. language barriers, allotted monies for travels……one day you are in the lead, the next minute you are falling way behind. There is just never any way to tell for sure how you are doing, or what is going on with the other competitors.
one of the things I find very interesting besides the adventures, is how the teammates/couples treat each other, and also how they treat the people in the countries they are around.
Teams:
all ages, all sizes, relationships, and personalities! makes for some great entertainment!
the pressure is high, and with every second counting, it’s easy for the teams to crack, break down, and vent to each other. often times the blame is pushed back and forth between the two teammates. Many times they become self defeating and prevent themselves, or each other, their team, from moving forward.
have noticed that the teammates who are supportive of each other, who generally try to have a good time and enjoy the game, rather than allowing the fast pace to get the best of them, tend to do the best. Many of the teammates have grown so much closer, while some of them have ripped them apart.

I often wonder how a game of this type, with a prize of one million dollars, could be the reason why either a relationship would break apart. Is it that the only focus is the destination, and not on the journey itself? Is the action too fast paced that the whole point is lost?
Shone has always mentioned that life is the journey and not the destination. He has also mentioned that it’s how you enjoy each and everyday, regardless of what external or internal circumstances are occurring. You know, it took me a while to see the big picture. Watching this show has taught me so much!!!
1. I am aware sometimes, that something that occurs in others can seem irritating, or resistful to me. As I watch a competitor engage in activities, I am now realizing that part of my discomfort is that some of the issues they are experiencing are my own. It’s just so hard to see in yourself, when you are not really watching yourself. I often ask myself how I have handled things in the past, and if I have or was sure that I was at my best each and every time when dealing with the issue. Sometimes I am made aware of things, that before I was not seeing. And that somehow through the efforts of these individuals on the T.V. I am able to feel it. I do appreciate it so much. I know often times I may come off like a brat sometimes. And I really start cracking up at myself, because I really want to leave the bratiness far behind. I just don’t have the desire for it, and I know that shone does not appreciate it. He is so patient so many times with me, I am super LOVED!
I can see right in front of me, from real life experiences, (reality tv does rule!) and it comes to no shock when I realize that the teams who are supportive of each other, and each other’s well being, do far better, and enjoy the process that much more, than that of the teammates who fight against each other, break each other down, and who attack the one and only person who is there to help them win! More often or not, the easy going ones are the first to cross the finish line, and they are the winners of the entire adventure. hmmmmmmm, easy going, supportive, loving, and putting their best foot forward….doesn’t sound like luck, or like chance to me.
I am very thankful for the entertainment that fills my mind and heart. TV to us is a great break from the internet, it really allows us to wind down, and be truly entertained by others hard work and efforts. And I truly appreciate them! I honestly do!
someday…perhaps….I would love to compete on the amazing race with shone. I know that it would be such a magical adventure. I just havn’t been able to grasp bunjee jumping or other things that have scared me silly on the show! but as in life, everyday we evolve, and some things that in our past we were not sure of, something happens, and somehow the fear is lost. I only hope that perhaps someday my experiences will prepare me for such an adventure of this!
magical chai carpet ride
We had an amazing experience on the playa. I wanted to share a little about it.
During our preparations for burning man, shone and I discussed preparing for a detox, and purging, and cleaning a lot out of our mind, souls, and bodies during the burn this year. We have practiced it for a few years now during the weeks of the burn, each and every year getting better and stronger.
So while on the playa this year, we made an active choice to refrain from lots of partying, ingesting comfort foods, and all things that can wear on the body. The playa is not an easy place. And with our work load this year, we knew that we would need all of the energy that we could find.
Now mind you, we don’t ever feel the need to follow things so puristically. We have learned that we set ourselves up for failure each and everytime. So this year, when shone wanted a beer, he had one, just not in excess. I still smoked herb and had a couple cocktails. It’s about a journey, not an absolute path for us. I even brought back a large tuaca bottle, and you all know that tuaca is my best friend, and I had taken maybe two sips out of it, shared a little, and the most returned. That has never happened before!!!
We were holding on pretty well the first few days. The work was strenuous……the great kind of strenuous. The kind that makes you feel so alive! Causes the blood to sore throughout your body, and the muscles to contract in such magical waves. My constant phrase in my mind was, “keep on moving don’t stop.” It was magical, and really kept shone and I together even while we were separated managing the large perimeter that we had taken on.
Much to our delight and blissful explorations, some of our campmates arrived on thursday. I was so excited to see the incoming crew. Some were new faces and people to meet, and some were family to reconnect and share lots of love with. Little did we know how much energy and manifestations were heading our way. In more ways than one.
I was able to meet a man that shone and sarah had already met so many years back. A magical angel, full of healthy, and loving vibrations. His knowledge of plants, and spices, and teas, and elixirs, and health, and bounty was overflowing. He and I immediately connected, and we fell instantly in love!!!!
Shone has always told me how much he loves chai tea. However, I had to learn that what I had ever had tasted before was not chai tea. It was just sugar, and some spices, with the name chai splashed all over it! I could never grasp the concept. Up until now.
This year I was introduced to chai tea. To the magic of ginger, and non-irradiated spices, ayruvedic properties, traditional, certified organic. I spent time sipping it with rose petals, and sage blessings….. rose petal water spritzed on my skin. All in good company and love! I was in HEAVEN!!
The chai gave us wings. It gave us light and beauty, and was there in our time of need. Towards the end of the week, we were starting to deteriorate a bit, and it was just in time, that our knight in shining armor appeared! To you my magical angel, I will always be eternally grateful!!!
There is a batch heading out to the raw spirit festival. Oh yes, it’s raw food level baby!
We are so thankful for the many magical gifts that the playa presented us this year! It felt so good to work so hard and give so much this year!!! We never expected it to come back so quickly, and full of so much love!
A cute and dear thing about my angel, is that he is a little shye on the internet. I completely understand. Seeing how there is no part of me that is shye, it’s really important for me to honor and appreciate my new business partners energy and flow in this world. We got “married” in Eukiah after we got back from the playa! A marriage that will last an eternity!! If he should break out, you’ll all be the first to hear about it!!!
There is so much to fill in. But that will all come in good time. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share some extreme happiness and excitement!
celebration! continues: lynx, anasia, and mo2
for earth
for life
for love
for friendship
for passion
for synchronicities
for adventure
for pleasure
for quality
this weekend was such a magical weekend. i hardly know where to begin:
more feelings I am feeling right now as I write am writing this are exhiliration! goddess! magic!
the adventure
the magic started when steve (champagne and bacon) dropped off anasia at our place to take up to the party we were attending in tahoe. the ride was magical. conversation delightful. anasia is a magical goddess, who lives in san fransisco. she plays some downright decadent vibes (thank you for the heads up steve!).
her favorite festival she played at was: Shambhala
her favorite venue she has played at was: Temple
both shambhala and temple are two items on our wish list! we loved hearing all about them!
she has been creating/playing music for the last few years. a radiant energy that rocks your soul to the core. she has just recently returned from a trip to cambodia and africa. we really enjoyed listening to her adventures. her passions and motivations are inspirational, and a true pleasure to be in company with. her vibrations scream goddess, and her skills! well, for those of you who are attending LIB this year, she is playing! and we highly recommend you checking her out!
the event
opal was beautiful! the only criticism was the smoking. it seems that when there is a location where people are dancing and breathing hard, that the quality of the air should be more of a concern. however this is not the case in many circumstances. and in this case, it was ours.
shone has asthma, and it is difficult for him to be in venues where smoke is allowed. the one saving grace to us last night was that we were in a casino and had a room, where we could all escape away too. otherwise we would not have been able to attend the event for as long.
i can honestly say that this will be the biggest challenge for us. we are really going to be shying away from more and more smoking venues. we have more priority for our health than for the need to be in closed smoking quarters.
and with that, the night was amazing. kaycee, kendra, nikki, their friend kim, haley & ashton, nicole, and travis were all there. we were dancing the night away. i have not spent so much time dancing at an event as i did last night. !! ladies and gents, thank you all so much for your participation!! Haley: loved your costume!
the music was electric. Lynx opened up, followed by anasia, and then mo2 capped off the night.
**creates current thought–>another good reason why some of my favorite venues are at festivals is this: you are outside in the magical earth, breathing the fresh crisp air, and feeling the sun on your skin, and the earth beneath your feet. I honestly feel that your cells soak up more of the vibrations from the music, sound healing!, just from the fact that festivals are more grounded, and utilize the natural resources.
(back to reality)
nick! man you rock- drinking champagne out of the bottle with your friends while dancing to insanely amazing music while on the dance floor is very fun! )(dancing all night in a short skirt with no panties while your boyfriend keeps playing with you really adds to the vibe!)( i highly recommend it to everybody.Paesano Productions makes you feel all warm and fuzzy!
mo2 were spectacular. wow! I had never heard music like that, and it was sensational. I am usually not the mover and shaker to fast beats, but this was so different. i could not help but let the body fly!
he he
lynx, anasia, shone, and I were up in our room after the event was over, buzzing off our champagne high, all while lynx and anasia were b-boxing and playing and jiving around! (so amazing!) all while they were reviewing all of the photos that shone had just taken of them.
kaycee was passed out, sleeping like a little princess.
thank you amazing goddesses for your energy, it was such an honor to spend time with you!
the next morning, after about 2 hours of sleep we awoke to give lynx a wake up call, we were taking her to the airport to go party at a 420 celebration back in boulder colorado!
we really enjoyed the ride home:
her favorite venue to play is the boulder theater
and her favorite festival was high sierra, she says that they take care of the artists like no other.
and she said that she would be so down to come play here in reno with us. we have a huge group of lesbian women who are going to love lynx! amazing goddess, lesbian, and soulful music, I hope it will be easy for lynx to get out of town!
what an amazing 420 I had! sharing time with lynx and driving to the airport. my 420 pal!
she is so amazing, her voice, her music, is so conscious, so amazing, so beautiful. thank you so much for the cd! we have been playing it non stop!
she is on festival tour, and we will be looking for her when we hit lightning in a bottle and burning man this year!
what a magical adventure the weekend was! stay tuned, we’ll have more event photos soon!
