Wow, I haven't found time to watch Avatar so far, so this youtube-video is the first time I see excerpts of the movie...and what shall I say: Visual Ecstasy, for sure!

I have seen Avatar 3D twice now and it just becomes more amazing everytime i see it.. It is in my opinion equally visually and emotionally stimulating.. It completely blows the mind!!!

I love Avatar! Went to see it for the second time tonight, It has an amazing story and i do not find it cliche at all, the story has been told through other movies many times but its not played out. Its telling the story that we live everyday, what the human race is doing to Earth and the effects of damaging mother earth. Also that much of the human race has become preoccupied with power and money. This story is compelling and realistic, humans leaving earth because they've ruined their own planet so they seek something from another planet and will do anything for it. I think it has a great message and it is more than just a 3D eye catcher. I am moved by the Na'vi and their ways of life. They are connected to all and to everything. I wish i could experience such a closeness with nature and other beings. The movie takes me into Pandora, I get consumed with it and it leaves me beginning for more once I'm out. My imagination has kept pumping and flowing ever since I i first watched it. Its definitely brought out some creative thoughts that i cannot wait to take action on.

I loved everything about it, Its a master piece!

And damn do i wish i had a tale!

and lastly The Na'vi women are exquisite. num num num mmmmm sexxxxy!

we most certainly agree. until we can all reach a point where money and greed is not the primary goal, we are going to have to continue to share this story! it never gets old, never. :)

I love your point about being close with nature and other beings. It is a LIFE priority for us as well. let's all get together and brainstorm those tails, kendra has some great ideas, as I am sure gil too. Let's make our own little tribe :) so that when we wear our blue tails we will all feel connected and think of each other.

    Love you bunny :)
  • lots of interesting conversations I hear regarding AVATAR. anybody care to discuss your thoughts, reactions? We can all agree to disagree, all I ask is that we all are civil and humane to each other. Interesting how points of view create heated debates when we are not feeling validated by others opposing thoughts.

your feelings, thoughts = yours, our feelings, thoughts = ours: let's discuss

    let me go first.

such a fantastic movie with a great story line, a story that still to this day has not been heard enough, history repeats itself time and time again until a correction or resolution has been established.

I've heard that many of you feel the story is so epic, and yet some of you feel that the story is so cliche. I welcome and am opening this discussion up for anything you care to share. Without judgement, without attack, I would truly love to hear and learn what you feel.

Did you see it in 3D Imax or just the 3D digital. Our first experience was in a small theater with no 3D action but it sure was surreal. The storyline is very close to Ferngully, an animated movie created back in the 90s. The scaling was just as surreal and had the same theme about humans' ignorance in trying to conquer a people and land that does not belong to them.

Im planning on booking 2 tickets for Stego and I for the iMax 3D one, but we will have to do it online. Everything was sold out when we went out today for a replacement laptop.
  • the imax 3d is on our list! we had the 3d digital :)

I love the storyline, it never gets old :) guess because the bad doings are so regular :(

regardless, loved everything about it! the 3d is spectacular cat :) I was floating in an adventure all night long!!! so thankful for the efforts that were put into this movie! it's going to make a lasting impression on the way all movies are created!!

by the way, have you heard of maya? the computer software that they created this movie with? :)
  • Catwoman69y2k
Actually, Maya was what my art college trained me in. At this time I am using Maya 2008 for my graphical needs. With the new laptop, it renders even faster.
