information out to staff, volunteers and participants. Anyone who comes to
Burning Man needs to know this information!
Also – dont be a twit: Gate is NOT Greeters. Gate is Gate. Greeters is the
fun part just after Gate.

BURNING MAN: WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE GATE
Here’s some tips on what to expect at the Gate when arriving at Black
Rock City and how to make the process go as smoothly as possible for
you:
#1. BE ON TIME
No one likes an ‘Early Emily’.
Please, do not plan to arrive, and DO NOT arrive at BRC until you are
allowed to be there. The event opens at 12:01am on MONDAY August 31st.
Showing up early may actually cause you to get into the event later
than if you show up on time. Stop somewhere and take a break if it
looks like you will arrive early rather than drive 2 hours to BRC only
to be turned around. You will save yourself a lot of frustration. IF
YOU ARRIVE BEFORE 12:01AM YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE EVENT AND
YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WAIT AT THE GATE.
#2. BE PREPARED.
Don’t be a ‘Disorganized Danny’.
When you roll up to the playa, have your ticket and any applicable
paperwork (copy of mutant vehicle registration, early arrival pass,
etc.) in your hand. Not your friends’ hands, not in your trunk, not in
your friend named Hans’ trunk. Be prepared to show your ticket to the
Gate volunteer as soon as you hit the gravel (heck, get it ready in
Gerlach!).
Your car will be searched at the Gate. Keep this in mind when packing
and the search will be easier for everyone, which means you get
through faster. If you have a large vehicle or a lot of stuff, we
appreciate it when you help us during the search! Read the Survival
Guide and know what items are not allowed into BRC!
#3. BE AWARE
Don’t be an ‘Uninformed Ursula’.
Buying a ticket or picking up a Will Call ticket?: stay in the FAR
RIGHT LANE on Gate Road and look for the entrance to the Will Call
Lot. Go to Will Call/Box Office, get your tickets and then get in
line. Everyone in your vehicle must have a ticket in hand when you
reach the Gate or your entire car will be turned around! Do not add an
hour (or more!) to your wait time. Don’t get searched twice! Head to
will call, get the tickets, and get in line – but don’t get in line
without all your tickets!
#4. BE REALISTIC
No one enjoys a ‘Frustrated Ferguson’.
Thousands of people arrive in the first 18 hours of opening. If you
arrive during these hours, expect a long wait at the Gate. If you want
a smoother and faster entry, consider arriving after the initial rush.
If you are going to arrive in the hours after opening, plan to enjoy
the wait. This is also true for Exodus – avoid leaving during the peak
afternoon times on Sunday and Monday if you want your best chance at a
shorter line. You have been warned!
#5. BE PATIENT
No one likes a ‘Grumpy Gateperson’, just like no one likes an ‘Angry
Allen’ or ‘Mean Mary’.
The Gate folks are VOLUNTEERS. They donate their time to help you get
in to Black Rock City! If you’re patient with them, they will be
patient with you. Remember, no one likes a ‘Dishonest Denise’ or a
“Fencehopping Freddy’. Please, be patient, play nice and wait your
turn. Cutting in line and running through fences not only makes you
lame, it will guarantee that you get into the event a LOT later than
you planned.

An illusive butterfly, fluttering all around, where will she land? We recently had a conversation with this little butterfly, and it was invigorating. Such a refreshing perspective from such a beautiful heart! Full of insight, depth, and adventure! We were captivated by her charm. She fills the room with sexual light. We are so grateful for her friendship and kindness. Wether she is behind the lense, on stage, or cuddled up on our notorious cuddle couch! It’s always a delight to have her around.
We are surrounded by magical butterflies, and we are so honored! Each and everyone has touched our soul. The genuine smiles and sharing of care and love is something that we cherish and will do so for this lifetime.

For some time now shone and I have been discussing our desire to add a girlfriend to our relationship. We have discussed this issue for a couple of years now. Each and every time the discussion comes up we learn more and more about each other. I am so grateful for these conversations. We are able to explore so many thoughts, reactions, and ideas. It truly has been a growing stage for our relationship.
This is a super pleasurable adventure for us. And we have been treating it with the utmost care and concern. The level of connection we are looking for is one that will include a 24/7 lifestyle with two bohemian artists, who are exploring and navigating through this world, ready to jump and leap and bound at a moments notice, quick to pull out the cameras, and a heavy and intense desire for deep and mind and body blowing experiences. An adventure that we will both nurture with all of our love and abilities.
I often discuss on twitter and in the blogosphere about being able to clearly communicate with the universe, so that the path is able to shine brighter and lighter.
We have acknowledged recently that we are much closer in our readiness for her. It feels like she is the closest to us that we have ever felt. Lots of things have been coming up in discussions.

1. Above all we are in no hurry, our excitement is there, however we are just as blissful at this moment, as we will be when she is in our lives. there is a constructive way to “vent” frustrations and irritations: doing it boho style!
the last time we checked most of us are comprised of living vibrating cellular components.
dancing on the outside vibrating on the inside, @bassnectar leads the way!
from what we understand, we all need to eat, drink, rest, have blissful sexual explorations, and eliminate.
* we all are living life in a world full of obstacles and challenges.
* we all have goals and dreams
* we all seek listeners, and at times will overstep understanding and yell so loud because we want others too listen so badly.
* we have all felt wronged by other people, regardless if this is the case or not, it’s easy to attach a personal emotion and pain
* we are all humans (well most of us, but that is another post)
so where am I going with this. we’ve been discussing a lot about community and what it means to us. and I think sometimes this can be too general of a term. sometimes as the path shares more and more understanding, there comes a time to share thoughts and expressions. and by all means, sharing is only represented by those who have something to say, and by those who are interested in listening. timing in our lives always determines the case of our listeners. it’s nothing personal, it’s just life.
when it comes down to venting, releasing built up emotion, frustration, and thought, there comes a point where we just have to blow our lids. we cannot deny the path of energy, it is never lost, it is only transferred, because of this, it’s important to address this feeling when it arrises. otherwise it lives and dwells in the mind body and soul, until something really non related blows it out of proportion. we try so hard not to bombard others, and if we really truly care about this, then that leaves no opportunity to blow a lid regardless of the energy propulsion.
when dealing with these types of energies this is what we have experienced, and this is how we approach and navigate. one way is not always the way for others, but it is what works magically for us. so I feel compelled to share, in the interest that it may help others find more peace and harmony within.
there is always a time for explosion of energy, choose your outlets wisely
1. Acknowledge the source:
when the energy is in our face, when the irritation is building and or rising, shone and myself will ask each other if we are in a place for one of us to talk out our “confusions” so that we can find a clearer path. at times it is not the right time, and we understand this, at times we may have other pressing priorities in the moment. we simply acknowledge that throughout the next couple of days we will come back to a place where we can discuss it further. we don’t take it personal, because we know that these emotions don’t go away, we are not worried about losing our train of thought, if anything, we have a little more time to think about what words we can say so that we understand ourselves and can further our communication with each other.
2. Acknowledge an appropriate setting and time:
when the time is appropriate: meaning shone is not in a creative place working on this week’s photoshoot, ( I learned the hard way, that when you interrupt somebody in their creative time, you are never going to get the time and awareness that you need, and you are doing an injustice (in my case) to the forward creation of work and progress for your company. (it sure does keep us in perspective, business partners, lovers, best friends) or involved with other things such as helping our roommate get food and nourishment for her long night of work……there is always something that needs to get done. (know the priority, and refrain from blurting)
so when the time is available, and trust me it always is, sometimes what you think might take hours takes a few alert minutes, especially when both parties are present, listening, and interacting, then that is the time to proceed. we have learned to approach it with an even mellow mind (as much as possible), because regardless of the outcome, if we raise our emotion and intensity, it’s a natural evolution to bringing it out in the other, and then it leads to a discussion that is furthest from the point at which brought the conversation together in the first place.
keep in mind if you are unsure as to what you are venting about, then maybe you need not to express it, reflect, think and try to understand the source, otherwise your bitch session has been completely pointless and precious time has been eaten up. precious time= time for creation, musical eargasms, mind blowing orgasms and sexual activities. think about it. if you don’t feel like you have enough time for these luxurious, take a deeper look at where you spend your time. It hit me like a hurricane when it hit me!
regardless of the energy shared, there needs to be an understanding from the source, at least a step so that the first question or response can be delivered to create an understanding listener.
3. Understand what is to be discussed, and not open a flood gate for all things in your life that need addressed
rambling on and taking more of anothers person time when they have gifted you enough shows a lack of compassion. it’s like the little boy who cried wolf, make your time count, otherwise nobody will be available.
4. Know what results you are after:
-are you looking for a solution
- are you just in need to have somebody listen
- are you just talking because you don’t know what else to do
know that when you are requesting another persons time, respect in return and take the time to listen and hear what you have compelled them to share or speak. relax your brain, quit thinking of what you want to say, honor the time the other has given you, and return. keep it all balanced, or you again will wipe out your sources.
running around venting to anybody and everybody who you think is listening to you leads to dissatisfaction in results. interact with purpose always. or become a leaky faucet that everybody runs away from.
life is magical with community
as a community in this boho world we all stand together, we all have many things in common that has crossed our paths. we are each at different levels of awareness, bliss, and self explorations. let us all be kind and compassionate to each others time and efforts. this in itself will bring our community closer and closer, and will truly help create our 24/7 connection to inspiration love and bliss.

a very enthusiastic and super big hearted groups of girls. we just met the very newest one last night in the dressing room while we were all getting ready for the White Party! super adorable, Molly D just wants to carry her around in her pocket! We are excited to jump on the big stage and open for them at the Reno Underground this Friday. I love being surrounded by lesbians. They get me all crazy and full of mad fever, the estrogen is so high, and they are so HOT! any girl that loves pussy is a great friend on mine.

reno collective has been in development for some time. it’s exciting to watch from the side as a friends new business is coming further and further along. we know it takes a lot of love and dedication to get something going and staying moving. they are hosting a show featuring The Black Rock City Allstars and Bohemian Burlesque. I can hardly wait to watch! I love a good collaboration between Hip Hop and Burlesque!
keep in mind you can always come down on tuesday and wednesday nights to the amendment 21 and hang in the bohoworld. We arrive around 7:00pm and get geek night under way, then on tuesday it moves into Open Mic hosted by @metaphysical1 @djfemur and the @brcallstars, and dj nights on wednesdays hosted by @auditorycanvas: special guests feature dj akasha, fathom8, Gil (I don’t know his dj name, if somebody reads this help a girl out) Matt (same) Zach (seriously):

living loving and sharing the creative path

felt like striking up a conversation today about “follow the rainbows butterflies and bunnies”, it’s a “tagline” that we refer to a great deal in bohoworld. and as you might have noticed, we are not trying to over explain or identify too much of what we share with you, it’s very important to us for you to find yourself in our adventures………if your path should stumble upon us. (not everything in life is meant for everybody.)
I felt that it would be fun to share some of the inspirations behind “follow the rainbows butterflies and bunnies.”
We are a happy threesome, camera, boy and girl
our foundation:
when shone and I started brainstorming where the path was going to start, we knew without a doubt that passion and creativity were going to be our fundamental foundations. passion and creativity, the same things that fuel our relationship, as it does our path. which is how we even settled upon “bohemian crush” as the name of our company.
in the beginning, as we came together, we were each ready for something. we both knew it, it was a driving force in our enternal bodyclocks, a desire that was leading us to each other. I remember sitting together one day, while our friendship was underway and we were getting to know each other, we were able to come to a mutual and blissful conclusion.
from our “friendship” point of view in the beginning, we already had succeeded. we were grateful for each other’s friendship and companionship. as things progressed, and a relationship was upon the horizon we were able to have a heart to heart. we discussed our personal views on marriage, children, career, and various other qualities of life and sexual explorations. Without judgement or coercion, we both shared our desires, our needs, and some goals. the amazing common attributes we both held dear really helped fire up the torch!
1. we both were not interested in marriage, and in both of our experiences had known this the entire time we have lived on this planet.
2. we both opted out not to have children and raise a family. both of us had never been programmed to do this, and it was a huge connection part of our beginning. it is not our wish to prevent others from following their bliss. and when the option of children is not unanimous, it can bear a lot of pressure on the path. we love kids, we are eternal kids ourselves.
3. we had both dabbled a bit in the real world, corporate world, etc. working days, clocking in, clocking out, committing so much of our own beloved time and energy into other applications that were not part of any choice of us except that it payed the bills. and we both knew that this was not our future.
4. we both desired sexual and quality life explorations. we both sought trust, kindness, desire, and creativity.
from these points, we made a committment to each other right at that point:
we love to kiss!
knowing that we would always be the best of friends, we agreed that the path of lovers would last so as long as the path was full of love, creativity, bliss, and a passion that was uncomparable to anything else that we had thus experienced. if that were to ever fade, then we both were releasing each other to alter paths, or to follow the path where that passion was at it’s peak. always with love kindness and support.

our comittment to each other guided the inspiration for our mission statement for bohocrush: here are some key inspirations
* to live love and share the creative path, honoring the path and where it curves and turns to follow creativity and pleasure
* to be a life long source of inspiration and connection with any and all who cross our path: members, artists, participants, etc.
* to celebrate life and desire a common platform where we can all share adventures. our journey is unique to our own, creates a lot of different timings for strangers friends and family alike.

I love how random and whimsical shone as an artist is. He follows the beat of his own drums, shares love for everything, and loves to be in his creative bliss. I especially like here how he piggybacked the horsey shoots. I just never know what he is going to do. I love it!
