every women needs “Sex and the City”

A couple of days ago my girlfriend Tina came and picked me up. I thought we were going to go somewhere and have lunch. Much to my surprise I get in to her car and there is lunch all ready to go, and she informed me that she was taking me out on a date and that we were going to go and watch sex and the city! it was amazing! and I am so thankful to have that time with her. She is a really busy girl too, I use to work at her spa when I first became a massage therapist. Now she is the head honcho at the soon to be Atlantis Casino Spa and Salon. And let me tell you, this woman knows spa! I can hardly wait to go hang out with her at the new spa that is being built. I miss my spa world!!! I love it, and I am really looking forward to returning to it!
( I will fill you in on all of the magical treatments that she has waiting! that is for another post! )
anyways, I was touched when she mentioned that she did not want to watch it without me! It’s been 7 months since we have last seen each other! We both agreed that we would not let life get between our friendship again!
I am so glad!
Girlfriends are great and necessary to have! Especially the ones you find who love you for who you are. There is no judgement, no unrealistic expectations, and when you find the ones who just want to enjoy precious time when you get together, to share, live, and laugh, you know you are golden!
Tina taught me long ago….”put your big girl panties on and deal with it!” ha ha , she is going to have that sign put in her new office at the spa when it is done! When you are a mother of two, running a spa, ( or substitute the job that you relate with) you just don’t have time for whining, or anything less than your best efforts! Thank you tina, you have taught me more than you will ever know!
Now that I am in my position, where I have learned and made my free time precious and valuable and necessary, I don’t want to spend what time I have around negative or anything less but stellar behavior. I need all of the energy, love, and kindness I can get in my surroundings! This helps me keep on my best, and keeps me connected to love so that I can continue to share it and grow.
Plus, shone and I spend 24/7 together, and the last thing I want to do is give off any funk to him. **For those of you who know him, understand what I mean. He is a loving, patient, sentient being, and the last thing I wish to do is to throw any funk his way. It would be like throwing funk to the dali lama!!!** I love him and myself too much to do this. Not too say it does not happen. But we quickly see the flag, we quickly come to the awareness that this is not our funk, and that we can simply dismiss it so that we can get on creating, living, loving, and enjoying this beautiful and magical world we live in.

Tina is very special to me, we have gone through lots of life’s adventures together, and I am really looking forward to seeing what else is coming our way!

As we walked into the movie theatre, I started getting chills. Not only has it been about a year since I have been to the movies, I was getting to watch “Sex and the City!” with Tina! I hope you can imagine my excitement now!
There were so many previews! I sat there waiting and waiting and waiting…. the emotions…… all of the memories flooding back. Realizing now how I use to use the seasons as my therapy. I remember that I always wanted to find true love! Love that would rock my world and fill my heart and soul with more love and adventure than I could have ever imagined myself. Love that only knew love, and only knew boundfull blissful jubilation!!!!
I remembered how much I yearned for lunches and dinners like the girls did on the show too! (and yes, I love shoes!) what girl doesn’t!!!
My heart was starting to race, I was going through time warps at this point. So much of my past I had forgotten about, so much of the journey to free myself, to find myself, and to put my energy and devotion into something that meant so much to me!!!

I was overcome by tears of joy, and really felt all of the struggles and emotions the characters have gone through in the movie! I am so thankful for this journey that I am on! I am so thankful for the friends and lover in my life!
It’s great girly girl entertainment, and I will always be a girly girl at heart! I think we all have a little bit of carrie, samantha, charlotte, and miranda in all of us! And I would love to hear what characters you relate to the most! and why! I think it’s great girl time to share, and hopefully in the future we might all be able to carry on some girlish conversations here on the blog. You can ask me to write about anything, and we will share, learn, laugh, cry, and love, throughout all of our conversations. And just as the women in the series and the movie have inspired me, I hope that you will all join me so that we can share, and help inspire others!
Misunderstanding, pain, and sorrow do not have to be carried on one’s soul. Communication, listening, and sharing helps one find the path to the light at the end of the tunnel. Hope to see you share some love, insight, and heart felt situations.

Watching the movie really showed how much I have grown. How much more confidence I have acquired, and how much determination! It really gives me inspiration to keep growing, learning, and evolving. I hope they come out with another!!!
